Mary Pat Letourneau is an award winning choreographer and dancer. A graduate from Columbia College Chicago in 2015, with a BFA in dance, she is interested in combining contortion with various dance forms. She performs her style of movement, which she identifies as “contortion dance,” regularly at Untitled and The Drifter in Chicago. In addition, she has also performed multiple times at The Dance Center of Columbia College, Carnival Choreographer’s Ball and Aloft Loft. Currently, she trains at Aloft for aerial silks with Destiny Vinley, hand balancing with Leah Leor, and contortion with Oyuna Yadamjav. Working as a freelance choreographer and performer, Letourneau has experience choreographing dances for music videos for local musical artists in Chicago. She has previously worked with Chance the Rapper, Vic Mensa, Towkio, Donnie Trumpet, M&O, Michele McGovern, and many more. She choreographed “Pavane,” a music video of Michelle McGovern’s, which won “Best Music Video” in the 2015 Los Angeles Film Festival. Her other awards include the Presidential Scholarship for Columbia College Chicago and a full scholarship for the Tremaine Convention. Letourneau also has experience with teaching competitive company-level classes for Lisa’s School of Dance and has been a contortionist for Fear City Haunted House. She is very excited to teach flexibility classes at The Chicago Academy of Pole & Dance!
